Zach's surgery went well yesterday. It took just over two hours and three hours in recovery before discharge. We are thankful to God for his help. The 2nd hernia on the right turned out to not be the same kind (inguinal) but was a more traditional (or more typically adult) hernia resulting from a tear in the muscle. This suprised us and the surgeon, but we are thankful that he was able to repair both. The only difference this makes is that instead of unrestricted activity (which would have been allowed with two inguinal hernias) he is supposed to take it easy for two weeks to ensure the muscle tear doesn't open up again. Zach is doing so well and is in so little pain and discomfort that it will be hard to keep him restricted. So we praise the Lord for a successful repair and ask that you pray that he would keep to the limits given. Joy's face is more swollen than ever though so we would appreciate ongoing prayers for her recovery too. Thanks for all your prayers. We wish you all a very merry Christmas with your families as we remember our savior's birth. Jesse, Joy, Zach, and Micah
