happy sad

Happy-- Thanks to the generosity of some people from the midwest, we were able to purchase the third prefab classroom building for the Discovery School.  It is being set up as I write.  Hooray!  Also, Rachel and Amanda, two college students from California, arrived on Wednesday to work at the school for a month.  Along with Charlotte's continued help, this is a real boost.  The Bible School session is finishing up well and the film team is off on another trip this weekend.

Sad-- The night before the volunteers arrived, Zach was up all night throwing up.  He also had a fever.  In the end it turned out to be malaria along with a bad case of stomach parasites.  He is still pretty miserable.  Please pray that he will recover quickly and not lose too much weight.  Despite the six pounds he has gained since we came to Burundi two years ago, he is still only the weight of an average four year old, and he just turned six.  All that to say he has no weight to lose.  On top of the nausea, one of the symptoms of malaria is loss of appetite.  Sigh.  Micah and Elliot have bad colds and both are struggling with blocked ears/mild ear infections.  Jesse and I are exhausted.

Thanks for continuing to bring us before the throne of grace!!
