SUM-mary of God's answers

Dear Friends and Family,

Pain - working medicine + new medicine = dizziness.

Dizziness -new medicine = Pain + residual dizziness

Pain + residual dizziness + PRAYER = NO DIZZINESS AND WORKING PAIN MEDS IN HAND

Thank you so much for your prayers.  God used them to completely change the equation.  Though Jesse was still VERY dizzy, the Lord helped him to teach coherently, and now the dizziness has subsided completely.  We were also able to get some medicine through some friends of friends in South Africa via DHL (the package arrived Monday), so hopefully the end of the high level pain is in sight.

The boys had bad tummy problems off and on until Monday as well, so it seems like they all had a virus mixed in with the parasite troubles.  They are doing well again now, but all of them dropped at least a pound, so I will be baking lots of cookies and buying ice cream to fatten them back up. Pray it works!  It feels strange as a mom to be pushing ice cream instead of broccoli, but you gotta do what you gotta do…

This week is the boys' midterm break from school, so yesterday we headed to Tanzania for five days of TLC from Jesse's parents.  We had reached the Burundi/Tanzania border (5 hours into the 6 hour trip) when the man in charge of the large donation of furniture I mentioned in the last letter called to say that if we still wanted the items in question Jesse had to show up at the warehouse personally this morning at 8am.  Jesse or no one, Wednesday or never.  So Jesse picked up a taxi and headed back home while the rest of us (me, our boys, Danny and Anne and their girls) headed on to Kigoma.  We just spoke to Jesse on the phone, and he is at the warehouse with rented trucks and several helpers loading many, many materials that will be a huge blessing to the ministries we are involved in—bookshelves, file cabinets, tables, and chairs that the Discovery School can use are only the beginning of the extensive list.  We are praising the Lord for bringing this hope to fruition, as we had pretty much given up.  Could it be that God used your prayers again?? I should write more often J.  Jesse plans to make the trip to Tanzania again tomorrow, in time for us to celebrate an early Thanksgiving with Jesse's family on Friday.  Pray for safe travels for him and for the upcoming decisions about which ministry will receive what donated items.  (This is such a great problem to have!!!)

Thank you for allowing God to use you to help us!

Joy
