Dear Friends and Family,
This is certainly a day to praise the Lord, as He answered two MAJOR prayer requests for us in one day. The boys had successful surgeries and our airline tickets were rescheduled for free!
Both boys are home and doing well! Micah is already trying out some new words I have never heard him say before-- he is definitely hearing better. The doctor said there was lots of thick fluid in his ears that had to be drained out before the tubes went in and that it was a very good thing he had this surgery now. Zach is having some pain, but the medicine seems to be handling it well and he is doing much better than we expected. We had an amazingly kind nurse in the recovery room who did everything she could to help out-- even to making lots of calls when getting the prescriptions proved difficult at first. Our friend Julie from church brought supper over, and all in all we are praising the Lord for tenderly arranging every detail of the day.
When we arrived home we found that Ethiopian Airlines had called to say that they were willing to waive the $3000 increase in fare and let us change our tickets to May 11, 2009 for free. The agent who I talked to kept saying "I can't believe they allowed this!" We can hardly believe it either! It even worked out that we don't have any overnight layovers. Praise the Lord!
God has certainly answered your prayers, and we thank you for them!
