Dear Friends and Family,
This is Joy's mom writing to ask you to pray for Zach who fell today and broke both bones in his left arm. He was at a birthday party bouncing in a bouncey house castle and broke his arm when he fell. It's been a long painful day but praise the Lord they were able to get it x-rayed and set. Please pray for Zach that his arm will heal well and for strength for him and his family to endure the painful process well.
Thanks for all the times you pray for them when you don't know what's happening!!! There were a couple special things that happened today that made them know that God was with them. Before they took Zach to the doctor for an x-ray, Jesse, who was with Zach, called Joy to tell her that the power was off in that part of the city where the doctor's office was. He asked her to get help to bring the generator that is used by the film team so that they could use it to have power to take the x-ray. Praise the Lord it worked! Later after the cast had been put on, they took a second x-ray to see if it was set properly. Jesse and Joy had questions, but there was no orthopedic doctor there to ask. When I talked to Joy, she asked me to call her cousin, Doug, who is a hysician's Assistant and ask him to call them. When I called, his wife told me that Doug was working in the operating room today - assisting an Orthopedic Surgeon!!! By the time Doug called Joy and Jesse, he had already consulted the Orthopedic Doctor and could answer their questions! That was a very special blessing! Thank God with us!
Ning Tan is on her way to work with Jesse and Joy for 10 days. She is scheduled to arrive there tomorrow. Please pray that she will have a safe trip and that all the luggage and equipment she is carrying will get there safely and through customs easily and that Jesse will be able to help her with that process. This is a vision trip for Ning to see if she can help them in ministry there long-term.
