On their way to Burundi now.

Special greetings to you,

Jesse and Joy and family are on their way to Burundi - having left this morning.

They will write to you as soon as they get set up there again. Their itinerary is below.

May the Lord bless you.

Gratefully,

Ruth Clark

Dear Family and Friends,

Get ready; Get set; GO! Poised and ready to run, our three grandsons, Zach almost 7, Micah 4, and Elliot 19 months old were playing. Elliot was delighted to be in control and made sure his brothers and his mother were all lined up right. When Mom said "GO" – They were off like a flash - across the living room. "Okay, his mom said, "this will be the last time." Everybody was ready. When Joy said "GO" – Elliot didn't move. He just had the biggest grin on his face. Guess he figured that if he didn't move - then the game wouldn't be over… He let us know how he felt about that! L We all know just how he felt.

When they weren't traveling, Joy, Jesse and their family have been living with us since they returned to the US from their ministry in Burundi, Africa in early November. They covered many miles as they visited churches, family, and friends and shared what God has been doing at the Discovery and Bible Schools and the other ministries God has given them there. We loved having them! They did extend their time - adding 2 extra weeks, but… the last day did come… and they left Charlotte, NC @ 10:00 this morning!

Please pray as they travel – that it would be enjoyable; that they would all be able to sleep and be at peace.

Pray that all their luggage makes it safely there and through customs well.

For those of you who like to follow the itinerary - here it is:

-They fly out of Newark, NJ at 6 PM tonight en route to Brussels, Belgium overnight.  We just talked to them - they are boarding the flight to Brussels.  The boys are struggling - it's already been a long airport day...

-They leave Brussels @ 4:40 am our time tonight and arrive in Burundi about 8 hours later @ 1:00 pm our time tomorrow (4/25) which is 7 PM Burundian time.

Praise the Lord they were all well when they left. (Jesse's fibromyalgia is still painful.) They are very grateful for their time here. They have been very busy packing boxes of school supplies many of which have been donated. Please pray that God will provide people going out who will be able to transport the boxes as part of their normal luggage allotment. (There is a team going out in June that may be able to help with this.)

Pray that God will give them wisdom and protection and that they will all adjust well in every way. Pray especially that they would all sleep well with the noise, heat and mosquito nets etc. They are exhausted.

We praise the Lord for the privilege of having them here with us. Thank you for your love and support.

Many have written to ask how Ruth is doing. Her arm is feeling much better – still working to be able to push up off the armrests again, but not yet. The congestion went away completely for two weeks, now she has a small cough again. She loved being able to take Elliot for rides through the neighborhood and special times with Micah and Zach too! We'll send an official update again soon.

Gratefully,

Brian and Ruth Clark
