Special greetings to you from Ruth Clark, Joy's mom.
Joy called this afternoon to say that Jesse is quite sick. She mentioned in their newsletter sent to all of us this past Tuesday saying that "Jesse has had some kind of tropical stomach bug for the past month." Since then his pain has gotten worse. After a medical consultation today it was determined that Jesse most likely has an ulcer and is being treated for that. it could take a couple weeks before he feels better. He has lost over 15 pounds since they returned in April. He has been "pressing on" continuing to work for the last few weeks, but he is not able to do that now. He is taking a combination of antibiotics and medicine for the specific kind of ulcer most common in the tropics. Almost everything he eats has been causing more pain. Please pray for wisdom and healing and that the medicine will take effect soon and bring relief.
