WOW

Dear Friends and Family,

Wow!  Ever since the day just over two weeks ago when Jesse was so sick with a stomach flu that he ended up on an IV, we have been feeling burdened, discouraged, and oppressed.   The rest of us took turns being sick, Zach lost all the weight he had gained this year, and Jesse had another tough and relatively unproductive meeting with church leaders regarding an interpersonal conflict between local elders that has dogged the leadership team for about a year now.  This past weekend it had finally seemed like everyone was doing better, and we headed to Kigoma, TZ on Sunday for a belated Thanksgiving celebration with Jesse's family.

Then on Monday Zach took a turn for the worse and yesterday night seemed very sick with severe diarrhea and vomiting.  It seemed like he might end up in the hospital on IVs again.  Then we talked to my mom and she offered to send out an email and you started to pray.

Talk about a night and day difference.  Zach made it through the night without more throwing up and is significantly better today, Jesse had the best day he has had in a long time pain-wise, and the feeling of oppression has lifted.  It wasn't until I told all this to mom on the phone tonight that she mentioned that she had included prayers for Jesse in her email :).  I thought you were only praying for Zach... Thank you so much for helping to bear our burdens through prayer.  It made a distinct and almost immediate difference.  The One we pray to is incredibly powerful!!

With thanksgiving and praise to Him,
Joy
