Dear Friends and Family,
We wanted to thank you again for all your prayers during this time!! We see that my mom sent out an update to some of you, but we're not sure if everyone received it or not, so thought we'd better send out one of our own. Sorry to those of you who are hearing everything twice...
Micah has been playing with a little doll here at the guest house and taking good care of it. We knew he would be really sad to have to leave it here, so we bought him a little doll of his own. The first thing he said as he opened it was, "My baby needs a passport!" He pursued the idea until I made one out of cardboard. The second thing he did was take it to the "doctor" to get some shots. Guess that shows what we've been up to this week!
We took Elliot to the doctor on Monday, and the doctor says his jaundice is receeding and we can take him home! We were able to pick up his passport and certificate of birth abroad yesterday morning, and we are scheduled to fly home this afternoon at 4:30pm! We were so caught up in all that had to be done that we haven't had a moment to write about it.
We would appreciate your prayers as we go
-- for safety in travel and safe arrival of our luggage,
--for the boys as they readjust (especially that the older boys will sleep through the night)
-- for Zach as he returns to school
--for Jesse as he participates in the dedication of the renovated Bible School building on Saturday and then starts a week of intensive teaching on Monday
--for me to completely recover from the birth and to be a patient wife, mother, and school director on little sleep
-- for continued health and strength for Elliot, especially as he encounters all the new germs and higher risk of malaria
Love and thanks,
Joy
