Dear Friends and Family,
Thank you again to all of you who have written, prayed, and sent us gifts to help with all our expenses during this time. The desire of our hearts is to write and thank you all individually, but as I'm sure you can imagine, our energy isn't measuring up to that desire at the moment. Please know that you have truly blessed us and that we are thanking our Lord daily because of you.
We took Elliot to the doctor for a check up yesterday, and he was almost back to birth weight!! He is still not nursing very well and needs a top up of expressed milk every feed, so feedings are taking about an hour and half to complete, but at least it is working. We are so grateful to have him here to be up in the night with:) The doctor's only remaining concern is that he is still pretty yellow. We will take him back for one last check before heading home, Lord willing, sometime around the 20th. Meanwhile, we will continue pursuing health-care for the rest of us and completing all the paperwork to get Elliot his birth certificates for Kenya and the US and his US passport.
