Dear Family and Friends,
Here is the prayer request again – with some updated information written by Joy's mom.
Please pray for Zachariah. He has been a patient in a hospital/health clinic in Tanzania for the past two days. Our daughter, Joy, her
husband, Jesse, 3 year old, Zach and 4 month old brother, Micah, went to TZ for a week's vacation while visiting with Jesse's parents
who are missionaries there. On Tuesday, Zach became extremely ill with vomiting and profuse diarrhea. He was admitted to the
hospital/health clinic and put on IV's and antibiotic. There has been very little improvement and they are now planning to medically
evacuate him to Nairobi, Kenya tomorrow leaving early in the morning (1 AM Our time) with Andy, the pilot of a small Missionary
Aviation Plane that should get them into Nairobi around 2 PM (7 AM OUR EST TIME..) Please pray for a smooth and safe flight.
Pray that all of them, but especially Zach will tolerate the flight well. They all tend to get motion sickness. A nurse, Nichola, is going
with them to help monitor the IV. They will go to the Gertrude's Garden Children's Hospital near Nairobi. The pediatrician they know
there from when Micah was born, is an intestinal specialist. He has reserved a bed for Zach as needed. Thanks for your prayers.
